My work is centred on the creation of sculptural video systems that present the viewer with a choice: to perform or to observe. The work is playful, directly addressing the viewer and challenging our desire to transcend from inactive observer into active participant. Exploring notions of authenticity, integrity, role-play and media mediation, the work makes playful reference to cinema’s ability to disconcert, affirm or reveal us as we are.
