My work focuses on experimenting with a variety of materials including gloss paint, oil, varnish, spray paint and acrylic. I react and respond to the materials I am using and normally have no premeditated idea of how the work will result. In the pieces displayed for the MA show I have used the art of appropriation whereby I have selected elements from the original in order to create new work. The works aims to explore intention and raises questions about the process involved and the method of mark making.
