One link that connects the artist’s work of different periods is the creating process she follows. Most of the time she is working on several different mediums, creating pieces that might seem unconnected or diverse and rarely has a pre-fixed idea of what the final result will be. Everything comes together when she views the final space in which she will exhibit. Space dictates her solution, as it triggers her intuition. Sometimes it is an installation that combines different media, while others it might be a single sculpture or a video. During the last year, she’s been focusing on creating collages, assemblages and sculptures.

Conceptually she has always been interested in the incomplete, the mutilated, and the deconstructed. Erifili sees her works as open, imperfect and unstable systems rather than fixed conclusions. The contradictions of the human psyche and the tensions in the subconscious have been the main basis of her work over the last few years. This year she expanded her artistic research in the area of transgressive sexuality using as vehicles the female body (especially the skin) and human biology.
